CEO Robbie Briggs: How our agents can help you find a home in Preston Hollow, Plano or Paris

World Wide NetworkEach Friday, the executives of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty write about luxury, trends, business and more in the advertising pages of the Mansion section of The Wall Street Journal. Below is CEO Robbie Briggs' letter of August 11, 2023.

FROM MY PERSPECTIVE

I get asked a lot about what makes our brokerage different than all the rest.

I’m proud to say that the answer is a long one.

But one answer that raises eyebrows, especially when I’m talking with agents from other brokerages, is our world-famous Sotheby’s International Realty network.

What does that mean for you? Well, if you are thinking of a second home or vacation home anywhere — Colorado, Connecticut, Croatia — our agents here at home in North Texas have connections and relationships with the other best agents in the business, all over the globe. They number almost 27,000, in every popular and offbeat place you can imagine. That means you get access to the best properties — and the best guidance — on the planet.

There’s more. That network also means we’re aligned with one of the world’s most recognized and respected luxury brands — Sotheby’s — which has stood for quality and service since 1744. Working with our agents means you are in for exceptional quality and service, no matter where.

As for those agents, being in the Sotheby’s International Realty family opens up lots of opportunities for them, at home and around the world, and it helps win unique listings. There are seminars, workshops and mentors to learn from. There are fresh tips on selling and staying in touch, not only with each other but also with their clients. They get together often to trade ideas and stories. Bottom line: They network to better their business — which is better for you.

The best part? Our agents make genuine, lifelong friendships with their peers.

If all of this sounds a little too warm and fuzzy, consider this: In Texas alone, three of the brokerages in the Sotheby’s International Realty network sold $7.5 billion in properties in 2022. Of that, the agents referred each other more than $302 million of that business. That’s right — almost a third of a billion dollars.

Agents who are this connected, thoughtful and successful are exactly who I’d want handling my real estate transactions.

Don’t you agree?
