CEO Robbie Briggs: In times of great change, one thing hasn't changed at all

FROM MY PERSPECTIVE

“The only constant in life is change.”

That famous saying applies to what we’ve been doing with our offices — and quite a bit more. In April, we relocated our Fort Worth branch to a custom-designed new space at 4828 Camp Bowie Boulevard, along the famous brick-paved stretch of the street. The ground-floor office is much more accessible for our agents, who are always on the go. It’s got open workspaces, an integrated training room, a café and even a patio for al-fresco brainstorming.

In January, we moved our Plano office to the busy Shops at Legacy, at 7301 Lone Star Drive, Suite A-115. Here, too, we created a ground-floor haven for our agents, who are the experts in Plano, Frisco, McKinney and beyond. The dynamic floor plan fosters much more interaction, and being along those bustling sidewalks means those hardworking agents are more visible than ever.

At the end of 2019, we cut the ribbons on our new flagship in Dallas, two full floors of the midcentury office tower called 3131 Turtle Creek. Like with all of our offices, we really thought about how agents work now. One example? We have a large, light-filled lounge with comfy sofas, docking stations and a game table. Our agents naturally gather in that lounge — and that’s where some deals can really happen. They’re doing the same in our big, bright training room, too, a place where they get together for classes on digital marketing, social media and a lot more.

But, we haven’t just shaken up our offices. We’ve improved our digital platforms so that it’s even easier for our agents to get to everything they need, anytime, from contracts to marketing materials to customer-relationship management. We always have fresh new courses to take, online and in-person. And, we’ve greatly increased the marketing opportunities for our agents, including all things digital, social media and print, even geo-targeting of online property and branding campaigns.

You know, none of this is change for change’s sake. We continually assess where the industry is going and what our folks need. There’s just one thing that hasn’t changed at all: the excellence of the agents who call Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty home.
