Writing the book on China {VIDEO}

  The long-anticipated book launch and grand tour for Chinese Institutions Definitive Guide To USA Commercial Real Estate kicked off on April 19 in New York City at 212 Fifth Avenue. The 300-plus-page hardcover was a collaboration led by Ben Briggs, executive vice president of international business at Briggs Freeman Sothebys International Realty, who has lived in China for more than 11 years. Following the Manhattan grand opening, several of the books co-authors toured Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Dallas and Fort Worth. Atlanta and Seattle are still to follow. To read more on china.briggsfreeman.com, click here. On April 24, the Dallas-area book launch welcomed more than 100 VIP guests to Museum Tower, including U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce members, real estate investors and professionals. The Dallas Business Journal and China Daily covered the event.

About the Book

Chinese Institutions Definitive Guide To USA Commercial Real Estate, published by one of Beijings top business publishers, includes chapters entitled: Why Purchase U.S. Real Estate, Important International Tax Issues, Single-Family Investment, Closing the Deal and more. The book highlights markets and submarkets in each of Americas top gateway cities, with commentary written by local real estate CEOs and top brokers who work alongside Briggs. Briggs colleague and financial analyst for Briggs Freeman Sothebys International Realty, Catherine Hu, co-authored the book, bringing much depth and wisdom to intricate details, helping to understand various asset classes of U.S. real estate and relaying that valuable information to Chinese readers. Top U.S.-China legal experts also helped pen chapters on optimizing tax structures and negotiating joint-venture partnerships. Chinese Institutions Definitive Guide to USA Commercial Real Estate is now available on Amazon.
