Each Friday, Russ Anderson, the president and CEO of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty and the CEO of Pacific Sotheby's International Realty, writes about luxury, trends, business and more in the advertising pages of the Mansion section of The Wall Street Journal. Below is his letter of February 13, 2026.
FROM THE PRESIDENT'S P.O.V.
You’ve heard the phrase: the clock is ticking.
Have I got an example for you. As I write this, there are only seven non-penthouse homes left at HALL Arts Residences, the game-changing superluxury high-rise in the Dallas Arts District.
We have been the exclusive brokerage for that glassy, gorgeous building since it opened in 2020. Our agents on the project, Cindi Caudle and Kyle Richards, have done a stellar job selling the homes there, which come with the most spectacular city and horizon views imaginable. I mean, jaw-dropping.
Cindi and Kyle will humbly tell you that the building sells itself. It is a stunner — 28 stories and only 49 homes, including the three penthouses that are available. One of those? Residence 2601, the full-floor Gallery Penthouse, a brilliant mix of strong architecture and quiet spaces, designed by Eddie Abeyta, built by Allgood/Pfannenstiel and staged by Neal Thomas. It features direct elevator access, 14-foot ceilings, 12-foot pocket doors, a monumental living-room fireplace, a wine cellar and a library with its own fireplace.
Every home at HALL Arts Residences has walls of glass and superb finishes, and the building offers unique amenities that include a rooftop putting green, a superb contemporary-art collection and the neighboring HALL Arts Hotel.
Yes, you can have vanilla-bean pancakes or a charcuterie board from Ellie’s restaurant sent up to your home.
But not if you don’t act fast. Drop me a line or come see our listings at 1747 Leonard Street in Dallas at briggsfreeman.com. There are opportunities from about $5 million. Make a little haste. I don’t want “the clock is ticking” to turn into “I told you so.”
