Any great show house is reflective of what’s currently happening in the industry, but it’s also very telling when it comes to trends. Because designers don’t have much time to conceptualize what they want their lottery-assigned space to look like at [any] Kips Bay Decorator Show House, the pieces, fabrics, accents and finishes that they do choose are often indicative of how interiors are changing — they’re like crystal balls in that way.
