Each Friday, Russ Anderson, the president and CEO of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty writes about luxury, trends, business and more in the advertising pages of the Mansion section of The Wall Street Journal. Below is his letter of April 12, 2024.
FROM THE PRESIDENT'S P.O.V.
The number I’m about to reveal proves what we’ve always known at our brokerage: North Texas is one stupendous place to live.
Dallas-Fort Worth is now 8.1 million people and growing — fast. The United States Census Bureau says our area had the largest growth last year of any in the country. Now, hold on to your hat: Demographers project that North Texas will reach 10 million people sometime in the 2030s — surpassing Chicago to become America’s third-largest metro area.
Yes, the word is out. Boundless job opportunities. A lot of house for the money. Our warm and wonderful climate. (Except for July and August, but don’t tell the others.)
While all of this is very exciting, it is no surprise to the agents of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. They know every nook and cranny of this amazing metroplex and why more than eight million people now call it home.
For folks moving here, we’ve gathered some of that insider information into a handy publication, in print and online. We call it Inside Texas, and it is loaded with facts, trivia, must-know neighborhoods, and must-try places. We’ve got the scoop on famous regional foods, cultural experiences, lake living, architectural styles, helpful services we offer, and even guides to schools and medical facilities.
Dig in at briggsfreeman.com/insidetexas.
Come see what our agents know, in Inside Texas. It’s so packed with good stuff that I bet even the locals will learn a few things.
