FROM THE PRESIDENT'S P.O.V.
Yes, Texas can be over the top.
Big swagger, big style, big living. We have it all, played out in big, beautiful homes that have no equal, anywhere.
I have some proof. Our 1161 La Mirada Court in Southlake, below, just a half-hour from Dallas or Fort Worth, is a fantastical, sprawling home of almost 14,000 square feet, with turrets, a wine cellar, a tiered movie theater and a swim-through grotto. It awaits, at $7,850,000.
The jaw-dropper at 119 Private Road 1820 in Clifton, pictured below and at top of story, is a literal castle on a lake, all five stories of it, with a drawbridge-style sidewalk past two heart-shaped moats, a glittery ballroom and a 3,000-square-foot penthouse suite at the top. It’s a fairy-tale life less than 90 minutes from our bustling metroplex, for $5,500,000.
Another epic listing is 2721 Old Decatur Road in Decatur, below, just 50 minutes northwest of Fort Worth. It is a Mediterranean-style rambler of almost 8,000 square feet, plus a helipad, pool house, Paris-style guest apartment and separate villa for visitors. It’s a private resort for every day, at $10,950,000.
Castles, villas, Parisian apartments: We offer the most inspired properties in North Texas. Come see them all at briggsfreeman.com. For extra fun, sort the search results by the highest price first.
After all, this is Texas, and we do over-the-top better than anyone.
