Having bought and sold 4 homes, leased a home for 3 years and thus, worked with 7 agents in these capacities, I’ve had extensive personal experience working with residential real estate agents. As the owner of an international negotiation consulting firm, I have also had the privilege of training and consulting agents at some of the largest residential and commercial real estate firms in the country. Because of these combined experiences, I am extremely knowledgeable about the roles that agents play and how they can both help and hinder in the marketing and sale of your home or investment property. Typically I need to manage my agents to get the best out of them (even when they have my best interest at heart) – educating them about my properties value proposition, only sharing information I want conveyed to the other party, and managing the negotiation process myself. Recognizing how busy I am as a Chaired Professor, Owner of an International Consulting Firm, and CSO of a High Tech Healthcare Company, Leigh offered and successfully managed not only the marketing and sale of my home (which sold for full price quickly), but managed all of the work needed to prepare my home (which I had leased to executives for 3 years fully furnished) for sale. She found vendors to conduct needed repairs and refurbishing of my home, met the vendors as needed (alleviating my need to do so), sold my furniture, and did all of these things (none of which were in her job description) without charging me additional fees or commission. More remarkable, Leigh accomplished this while pregnant with and after giving birth to her third child. Who does that – no agent in my experience or to my knowledge has ever gone so above and beyond her job description to help a client. As a result, she not only earned my full trust, she earned my gratitude and loyalty for life. I will never recommend anyone for the sale or purchase of your next home with a stronger recommendation than I’m giving Leigh. Her youth should not be confused with her extensive knowledge, savvy decision making ability, decisive nature, tenacity, or dedication, as she has an abundance these.
