In addition to receiving her bachelor's degree in Finance from Texas Christian University in 1987, she has been involved in a number of charities, organizations and fundraising including the Junior League of Fort Worth, National Charity League of Fort Worth, Calypso, TCU Alumnae Association, TCU Frog Club, Catholic Charities, Presbyterian Night Shelter, All Saints Episcopal School, Trinity Valley School, Como Reading Night, The Parenting Center and The Warm Place. She served on the advisory board for the Chi Omega chapter for Texas Christian University for many years.
