After building a gold-standard business in luxury fashion, marketing and design for over thirty years in both New York and Dallas, Louisiana native Gavin Smith recently turned his creative talents toward delivering dream-come-true real estate ventures and has steadily become one of the “go-to” agents in North Texas. A native of Ruston, Louisiana, where he first handled merchandizing for a local high-end women’s apparel shop while earning a marketing degree at Louisiana Tech University, Smith says, “I find many similarities in providing luxury fashion to a client and in discovering the precise luxury home or prime real estate location for the discerning buyer who is looking for an ultimate transaction.” And that keen eye for perfection is one big reason that Smith, who has also developed many Dallas friendships as a spin enthusiast, continually produces precisely those types of “ultimate conclusions” for many satisfied patrons throughout the Metroplex. Having lived in Dallas for the past twenty-five years, it was Smith who led efforts to build FIG (the Fashion Industry Gallery), which he then directed for its first four years.
