Angela Thornhill has an unusually well-rounded depth of knowledge about homes, construction, prices, processes and real estate law. She also loves the human side of real estate — her clients, colleagues and connecting people to homes, buyers, sellers and neighborhoods.

The Dallas native returned home to begin her career as a real estate attorney after graduating from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Houston Law Center. She launched her residential real estate career in 2005. Residential real estate has been a perfect fit for Angela because it combines the analytical skills and attention to detail cultivated from her legal background with her love of people and desire to guide clients through important real estate decisions. To her, information is key — including pricing and comps, staging advice and benefits, neighborhood and school insight and vendor and contractor recommendations. For her, providing such knowledge and advocating for her clients are her greatest gifts to them.

Being married to a builder — her husband Mark owns Thornhill Custom Homes, which specializes in the construction of energy-efficient luxury homes, additions and remodels in Lakewood, Forest Hills and Preston Hollow — Angela has a thorough understanding of the construction process, which is a tremendous advantage for her clients.

After working for years as an agent, Angela moved into leadership roles at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty in 2019. She now serves as Vice President of Sales for its Turtle Creek and Lakewood offices and as Broker of Record and General Counsel for the entire brokerage — nearly 400 real estate advisors across North Texas.

Angela has served on various MetroTex Association of REALTORS committees and co-chaired its East Dallas area REALTOR meetings for several years. She is a parishioner and volunteer at Church of the Incarnation and part of the Dallas Museum of Art League of volunteers and supporters. She has served on the boards of St. John’s Episcopal School’s Parents Association and its real estate committee, as well as the board of Lakewood Early Childhood PTA, where she chaired several Lakewood Home Tour positions.

Angela has lived in East Dallas for more than 25 years. She has two adult sons and is an avid reader, traveler and movie buff.
