Tim Cox’s twenty-seven years of real estate experience encompasses luxury residential, ranch and commercial properties making him an important asset to Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. “I protect my client’s interests in every respect, communicate without delay and bring buyers and sellers together for a successful closing.” Cox also grew a small property investment and renovation business into a substantial custom home and commercial construction business in Dallas and the Park Cities. "I draw from my experience in property investment, design and construction to give my clients what they need to make informed investment decisions.” Market knowledge is important but Cox digs deeper. “I don’t rely on MLS or Google for my market knowledge. Networking with my peers, a trip to the zoning office, walking a roof or creating a productivity and soils analysis for a ranch property are examples of how I give my clients actionable information.”

As a sophomore at The University of Texas, Tim Cox embarked on his real estate career, leasing apartments in and around Austin. Fast forward to today and you'll find that Cox still has that entrepreneurial spirit and drive, only with more experience and knowledge – and with a track record of success.

Cox lives in University Park with his wife, noted designer Tish Cox, and their two daughters Kennedy and Sheridan. He grew up in McKinney, just north of Dallas, where the Cox family has been part of the very fiber of McKinney since 1938 through Cox Chevrolet and The Carey Cox Company. Cox’s older brother, Bill, and father, Carey, both were awarded the Stemmons Service Award. The award honors a member of the brokerage community who best exemplifies the highest standards of a commercial real estate professionalism. The Cox family is the only family in the awards 44-year history to have two winners.

Cox says, “What my brother and Dad have achieved is astounding and I am profoundly impacted by their selflessness and commitment to the highest professional standards in the real estate industry.” Now, four generations of the Cox family still get together in McKinney on a monthly basis, and Cox says it is a luxury to be so close to his extended family. He says his strong family ties and deep Texas roots are responsible for shaping his character, values, and his entrepreneurial spirit.
