Micah Coffey's roots run deep in the real estate industry. His great-grandfather, Lonzo Coffey, was a Realtor in Amarillo. His grandfather, Marvin Coffey, from Hereford was on the insurance side. His father, Lonny Coffey, has been a leader in the mortgage business in DFW for close to 40 years. In 2001, Micah started his mortgage career with his father and gained the expert knowledge that has proved to be so valuable in giving his real estate clients the confidence that they are being represented by an experienced professional. In 2006, Micah left the mortgage business and started his real estate career.
With an extensive background in mortgage lending, new residential construction and investment real estate, Coffey's clients benefit from his vast knowledge and extensive contact list. His clients feel comfortable putting their largest asset in his hands. He has developed into a multimillion-dollar agent by keeping his clients informed and educated about the process. "Giving people your word and keeping your word is the most important part of building lifelong relationships. Second is communication. Without either of these, you cannot be successful in the real estate world," says Coffey.
Coffey believes that building lifelong relationships means you never work with a stranger. Everyone needs a warm feeling when buying or selling a dream home or investment. These relationships are genuinely his favorite part of real estate. Coming in at a close second is negotiating the deal and all the spectacular properties he views up close and personal.
Coffey grew up in Tarrant County and graduated from Mansfield High School. He went to Blinn College before returning to DFW to start his career in real estate. He is the cofounder of The Jay Jacobs Foundation for Cancer Research benefitting Cook Children's Hospital, is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association where he has also served on the Board of Directors. He is also a supporter of the Lena Pope Home and the Boy Scouts of America.
