As a second-generation realtor Don’s lifelong interest in real estate began while working for a homebuilder during college.  After earning his finance degree, Don moved to Dallas in 1981 and worked first in commercial banking before becoming a Texas broker and working for several large commercial brokerage firms marketing and leasing large office buildings.  During that time Don completed more than 580 leasing and sales transactions totaling over $760 million (7 million square feet) and was recognized by the CoStar Group (a national information firm) as one of the top twenty brokers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area — an achievement based on his transaction activity during those years.  “I was very fortunate to work with some great institutional owners and some exceptional corporate clients. “

 

After thirty years as a commercial broker, Don joined Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty to help his clients buy and sell homes with a world-class network and marketing resources.  For Don, the most important reason for changing his focus from office properties to residential was the personal satisfaction that comes from helping clients find the home or vacation home of their dreams.  “No surprise, but my clients always seemed to care more about their home and their family than their office space!”  Don laughed.  “Love where you live!”
