Proudly built in 1928 to be the largest building in Texas, the original Montgomery Ward store and catalog building became a nationally recognized architectural icon. In 2004, the now six-story Montgomery Plaza was transformed into a luxury residential community. The original Art Deco character of the building was preserved during the extensive renovation. Floors 1 and 2 were changed to retail space. Upstairs, floors 3 through 8 were converted into 240 luxury condominiums. The unique exterior of Montgomery Plaza is balanced with an interior design that emphasizes contemporary Texas-style sophistication and takes maximum advantage of the soaring ceiling heights (up to 16 feet), enormous full-length windows, and “industrial-grade” solidity of this building. Floorplans range from 807 to 3,483 square feet. Amenities include a theater and media room, fitness center, on-site storage, and concierge. Outside, the third-floor deck features a pool, spa, cabanas, fire pits, lush landscaping and outdoor dining areas. Additionally, oversized parking for owners was integrated into the original warehouse structure, providing ample parking for residents and retail guests. The scale of the building allowed for parking spaces large enough to accommodate even the largest trucks and SUV’s. Located in Fort Worth’s vibrant West 7th Street District, Montgomery Plaza offers an urban lifestyle you won’t find anywhere else in Texas. Just steps from the Cultural District and Trinity Park, 5 minutes from Downtown Fort Worth, 5 minutes from TCU and 10 minutes south of the Stockyards. Montgomery Plaza is truly in the heart of all Fort Worth has to offer.
