CEO Robbie Briggs: News about the future of North Texas’ No. 1 luxury brokerage

Each Friday, Robbie Briggs, CEO of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, writes about luxury, trends, business and more in the advertising pages of the Mansion section of The Wall Street Journal. Below is his letter of April 23, 2021.

This is an exciting moment for our brokerage. I am proud to announce the promotion of Russ Anderson to president of the firm.

Formerly our chief operating officer, Russ will now lead the company in strategy, business planning, budgeting and its day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing, relocation services, finance, technology and operations.

As the CEO, I will continue to lead the brokerage in mission, vision, values, property developments, new business and strategic initiatives.

Russ joined us in 2018, bringing more than 30 years of experience and achievements in finance, banking and sales management. Together, we have restructured our company, streamlined our marketing, strengthened our finance department and invested in new technology and connectivity, making everyone’s job more efficient. We have given our agents all kinds of new tools, and we’ve moved some of our offices to more convenient, more visible and more exciting locations.

Working with Russ, I have learned that he brings a consistently positive attitude, each and every day. He has worked tirelessly to assure stability and leadership to the agents and staff of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty across the metroplex. He has been a great unifier and motivator to our team.

I’m proud of our agents and that team and what this company has become because of them: a model of excellence in business, collaboration, ethics and giving. The market may be wild at the moment, but they are the consistency that our clients — and both Russ and I — have come to rely on, every day. That is noticed and appreciated and something that is of tremendous value to all, especially our clients.
