Helping her clients make their dreams a reality is what Katie Knuhtsen enjoys most about real estate. Whether it’s a starter home for a new family, a luxurious “forever” home, an investment property, or a vacation home, Katie is up for the challenge. Katie’s golden rule is putting the client first. She prides herself on responsiveness, knowledge of the real estate market and natural empathy when it comes to listening to the wants and needs of her clients.
Katie first got her real estate license in 2010 as a college student while she was attending Northeastern University in Boston. At the time, Katie focused on the rental market and helped her fellow classmates find off-campus apartments. When Katie graduated from college, she made the decision to start a career in technology sales in New York City where she worked for IBM followed by Microsoft. Being in the corporate world for over a decade prepared her to work well under pressure, handle the ins and outs of complex negotiations and look for creative solutions to challenges that arise throughout the sales process.
Katie started investing in real estate in her twenties, owning rental properties in Dallas as well as passively investing in several multi-family syndications. Her passion for investing is what led her to get her real estate license a second time--this time in Dallas focusing on residential sales.
Katie grew up on the East Coast and has a large network in Connecticut, Boston and New York City. She moved to Dallas in 2018, and now calls Texas home. In her spare time, Katie is at White Rock Lake, on the Katy Trail with her husband or out with her girlfriends trying new restaurants in Uptown or going to hot yoga. When she’s not out socializing, Katie can be found jogging in Forest Hills while she listens to real estate podcasts. Amongst her friends, Katie is the “go-to” resource for all things real estate.
Katie believes that her New York City hustle translates well to the fast-growing city of Dallas, along with her work ethic, timeliness and persistence in optimizing her client’s chances of securing their dream home.
