Originally from Southern California, Shannon Spizman came to Dallas, Texas to attend Southern Methodist University and compete with their competitive cheerleading team. After graduating from SMU, Shannon went to Texas Tech University School of Law and received her JD.
Shannon began her career as an attorney with the federal government working for the United States Office of Special Counsel before switching to private practice where she was primarily a litigation attorney in the areas of real estate, community association, labor and employment, and commercial law. Through her practice in community association and real estate law, Shannon served as general counsel for property owners’ associations, as well as property management companies. Shannon also represented property owners’ associations and property management companies in lawsuits. With the experience and knowledge she cultivated as an attorney in real estate, a real estate career is a perfect fit.
When not interacting with her clients, Shannon volunteers to help represent children in the foster care system and represents individuals in pro bono cases through Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. She is also a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (“SPCA”) and Young Professionals. She enjoys attending church at Highland Park University Methodist Church. Shannon and her fiancé, Michael, love to travel and spend time with their six animals (also known as “The Zoo”).
