Paula Reynolds is determined, passionate and caring. Her background in science prepared her with analytical skills and an attention to detail which are crucial to market analysis, property valuation and marketing. Her staging certification allows her to advise sellers on the best way to present their properties and buyers on how to envision the possibilities of a potential home. The fact that she has lived on three continents and speaks five languages enables her to relate to a highly diverse clientele.
Paula grew up in the small South American country of Uruguay. From an early age, she was passionate about science and ballet. At the age of thirteen, Paula became the youngest member of Uruguay’s National Ballet where she worked as a ballerina while continuing her academic education. After finishing high school, Paula emigrated to Paris, France where she obtained an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and continued her ballet training. She then moved to Washington D.C. to attend graduate school on a full scholarship. Paula obtained her Ph.D. in neuroscience from George Washington University and was soon recruited to join the Psychiatry Department at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
During her Ph.D., Paula’s research focused on the biochemistry of Alzheimer’s disease, and then at UTSW, she worked on the biochemistry of substance abuse and schizophrenia. Paula continued to dance and perform professionally both In D.C. and in Dallas.
In 2006, Paula met Barry Reynolds, who would become the love of her life, husband, and father to their daughter, Paulina. When Paulina was a toddler, Paula made the decision to stop working and devote her knowledge and experience to her daughter’s upbringing.
In 2018, as Paulina was entering her tween years, Paula felt it was time for her to start working again. Being a highly social creature, she chose to embark in real estate because she loves to meet and engage people and to help others fulfill their goals and dreams. As a realtor, Paula concentrates on the Lakewood market of Dallas and is now delighted to have found the right fit for her unique background and skills within the Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty family.
Paula speaks five languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
