Real Estate Agent
After building a gold-standard business in luxury fashion, marketing and design for over thirty years in both New York and Dallas, Louisiana native Gavin Smith recently turned his creative talents toward delivering dream-come-true real estate ventures and has steadily become one of the “go-to” agents in North Texas.

A native of Ruston, Louisiana, where he first handled merchandizing for a local high-end women’s apparel shop while earning a marketing degree at Louisiana Tech University, Smith says, “I find many similarities in providing luxury fashion to a client and in discovering the precise luxury home or prime real estate location for the discerning buyer who is looking for an ultimate transaction.”

And that keen eye for perfection is one big reason that Smith, who has also developed many Dallas friendships as a spin enthusiast, continually produces precisely those types of “ultimate conclusions” for many satisfied patrons throughout the Metroplex. Having lived in Dallas for the past twenty-five years, it was Smith who led efforts to build FIG (the Fashion Industry Gallery), which he then directed for its first four years.

A resident of Turtle Creek for the past twenty years, Smith’s key to continually writing successful real estate stories can be described in one statement that he completely believes in: “Every journey I have with clients is uniquely different yet also precisely the same…..because each client’s search is not about me. It is totally about them finding and securing the property that satisfies their ultimate dream. That’s where I come in and, believe me, nothing is more satisfying than helping families reach their goal.”

The converted Texan, who is often seen out and about while enjoying the Dallas art scene, believes that building solid relationships is his most valuable tool. “I will never let a client complete their journey until together we have turned over every stone to discover the perfect scenario for them. That is what finding a dream destination is all about – carving out the ultimate diamond for that person or that family.”

Smith concludes, “I now have the perfect situation to serve our area thanks to my association with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, clearly the most progressive real estate organization available thanks to an amazingly talented group of associates.”

Gavin is the Best Realtor I have ever experienced. As a single mom, buying a new home can feel extremely overwhelming. Working with Gavin made this process seamless. Not only did he help me negotiate a great price, but he also was proactive in setting up all of the mandatory subs through the process. His genius attention to detail and design gave me the strength to create my dream home. I would recommend hiring Gavin to all of my family and friends.

We worked with Gavin to find the perfect lake property for our family. His attention to detail was far beyond most agents we have ever worked with. From start to finish, he was attentive to every detail; from finding us the right community, the right water frontage and then eventually the right lot for us to build on. We have kept in contact with Gavin for other real estate ventures since and will continue to do so in the future. If you want an agent that cares about your family, gives the best customer service and is willing to learn along the way, Gavin is your agent! He’s a true gem in the marketplace.

Gavin was an absolute delight to work with. He was easy to talk to and listened to what we wanted. He was very helpful and timely in answering our questions and very informative with the area/neighborhood we were looking to buy. He also had a wealth of information on decor/style tips for our upcoming build. My husband and I were very pleased and we couldn't recommend him enough.
