After working twelve years in the private wealth management industry with some of the largest financial firms on Wall Street, Sierra Tellez is pleased to join Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. With a passion for marketing, she fully understands the emotional reaction created when completing a large transaction such as purchasing a home. During her time as a financial consultant, she worked in stock plan administration, specializing in executive plan services, along with retirement and benefit plans. Being engaged in the ultra-high net worth sector gave Sierra a unique ability to connect the details of complex investment strategies. She believes that a home purchase is another investment in her client’s portfolio and she provides insight based on the holistic approach she takes to real estate.
Sierra’s experience in the financial industry taught her many things but the biggest value she received was the set of core values that she lives by. Her number one priority is the client experience. The peace of mind that every consideration has been taken comes from her ability to advocate for clients. She operates with the utmost respect for each individual and faces each interaction with that mindset. Sierra has also developed a sense of responsibility to serve her community.
She volunteers at Dallas CASA as a court appointed special advocate for children in foster care. Prior to advocating for foster care children, she spent eight years as a Big Sister for the Big Brothers Big Sister Program of North Texas. Sierra was born in Virginia where her father was serving in the military. She moved around several times as a child before her family settled in Dallas in 1996. Sierra enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, golfing and giving her 12-year-old yellow lab, Champ, his best life.... Less
