A third-generation Texan, Margaret Motheral is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Education. She has found that time spent in the classroom provided skillsets that convert well to the practice of real estate. Her education background confirmed that the key to success in any endeavor is doing your homework in order to be prepared to meet the needs of clients. A love of learning that is part of being a teacher provided the background that attracted Margaret to real estate. "As Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty agents, we have to learn every day, as the forces that drive the market are continually changing." Just as Margaret encouraged her students to ask questions, she encourages her clients to do so. "Buying a home can be extremely stressful unless you are well educated on both the process and the market conditions."

Margaret believes in the importance of each client - big or small. She is known for treating clients with respect and appreciation for their goals in every transaction. She believes that being a good listener is key to creating a win-win for both sides. Her attention to detail and calm demeanor make Margaret a trusted advisor who brings confidence to her clients as they strive to make the right decision. "Helping clients to find just the right home to fit their needs and their dreams is such fulfilling work," says Margaret, "and knowing that I have been part of that process brings just as much joy to me as it does to my clients."

Margaret's initial exposure to real estate started when her husband was asked by the mayor of Fort Worth to start an organization, known today as Fort Worth South. Its purpose was to instigate the rehabilitation of the blighted hospital district and the once lovely Magnolia Avenue. Today, this thriving hotspot is a highly sought after location for businesses, restaurants and residential living alike. "Watching the obstacles he faced and the solutions he put into place was both fascinating and compelling to me. "

Having been surrounded by family members in both residential and commercial real estate, Margaret found herself asking lots of questions and finding all discussions about real estate intriguing. Finally, her brother, a Sotheby's International broker in Houston, convinced her that she should also join the brand. When approached by Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty, she was hooked! The legacy of expertise, integrity, and marketing firepower that Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty provides its clients is unparalleled in the North Texas area.

Margaret laughingly admits that her three children always told her that she should work for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce because she constantly touts the outstanding benefits of living in Fort Worth. "Being a Realtor is the perfect way to educate and spread my knowledge of and devotion to our remarkable city," she says.

As a community volunteer, Margaret has been involved in many local organizations. She was a founding member of the Doris Kupferle Breast Board and served on the boards of the Junior League of Fort Worth and Fort Worth Academy. She is a member of Jewel Charity Ball, Lecture Foundation of Fort Worth, Life Member of Texas Exes and Colonial Country Club. Her three children attended Trinity Valley School and subsequently all attended UT for either undergrad or graduate studies. Margaret currently resides with her husband in the Overton Park area of Fort Worth.
