David Burgher, a fifth-generation Dallasite whose Texas ancestors date back to 1841, brings deep Texas roots and a love of the land to the Briggs Freeman Ranch and Land Division which he founded in 2011. With a 30 plus year career in real estate, Burgher is committed to using the depth of his expertise and experience to help his clients find solutions to their real estate needs.  His extensive network of contacts in all areas of business coupled with his strong ability to build relationships, gives him an edge representing his clients whether he is negotiating, buying or selling on their behalf.

 

Burgher began his career as a commercial real estate broker in the early 1980’s expanding into commercial real estate appraisal and co-founding Butler Burgher Group in 1991.  The company became a multi-office regional valuation firm with litigation and environmental/engineering consulting subsidiaries and sold to LandAmerica Title Company in 2007.  It has subsequently expanded into 30 plus locations across the US.

In 1998, David founded Trophy Investments, using his multi-disciplinary background to invest and develop various commercial RE projects.  Included were grocery-anchored and strip shopping centers, office buildings, a self-storage facility, industrial and medical office buildings, specialty hospitals, various tracts of commercial land and the redevelopment of a 28-acre, 270,000 square foot mixed use project in Fort Worth, Texas.

Burgher graduated from Highland Park High School, the University of Texas and Birmingham Theological Seminary (Presbyterian).  He is a licensed Real Estate Broker, State Certified Real Estate Appraiser and Property Tax Consultant.  Various professional organizations with which he has been involved include the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, The Real Estate Council, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Active in Dallas and Fort Worth, Burgher serves as a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, Dallas County Club and the Chancellor’s Council for the University of Texas.  He is a founding board member of Dallas Real Estate Ministries, a founding member and deacon of Park Cities Presbyterian Church, founding teaching director for Community Bible Study (Central Dallas Evening class) and former Chairman of the Board of the Fort Worth Historic Camp Bowie District.

He and his wife, Pam, raised their five children in Dallas and currently reside just north of Dallas in the town of Cross Roads, Denton County with their two dogs and three horses.
