At the age of six, Chad Clayton started working his grandparent’s farm and ranch in the Texas  Panhandle.  The time he spent here led to his love of wide-open spaces.  After graduating from Texas Tech University, he moved to Dallas where he fell in love with city living and all the sporting activities surrounding the Metroplex.  When he was not coaching at SMU, he enjoyed time on the lakes, waterskiing and wakeboarding, or cycling through the parks.  It was here that he met his wife in 2003 and six years later started his family.   However, he longed to return to the land he spent so many hours tending. 

In 2007, he was able to make that dream a reality.  He bought the family farm and continued the ranching business while maintaining his growing personal training business in Dallas. His family travels back to the ranch often to work and to improve the property.  Like his grandfather and great grandfather before him, he enjoys raising livestock, specializing in Black Angus, and preserving the wildlife in the area. Chad also enjoys hunting pheasant, dove, duck, antelope and deer. Because he has spent the majority of his forty-eight years working on the land, he comes with a depth of knowledge and a strong appreciation for ranch and farmland real estate and the knowledge of each property’s possibility. 

 

Always busy, he also bought and renovated several homes in Dallas, which allowed him to more fully understand his buyers’ and sellers’ needs.  In short, Chad would love to help find the place of his clients’ dreams, whether that is in the city, on a small plot of land in the suburbs, or on miles of farm or ranch land.  Whether his clients are first time homebuyers or looking to market a world-class ranch, Chad will show them core values, integrity and trust.
