For Albany Shaw, Dallas is home.
Having grown up amongst the towering oaks and rolling hills of Oak Cliff, Albany came of age as a co-ed on SMU's campus in the Park Cities. She found purpose while teaching students in the Fair Park area and cut her teeth as an associate at an international law firm downtown. It would be an understatement to say that this city has shaped her.
Albany offers her clients an intimate awareness of the beauty, charm, and potential in neighborhoods at various price points throughout the city. Couple that awareness with her ability to deftly negotiate for her clients and adeptly diffuse tensions (as only a former teacher turned lawyer could), and it's easy to see why well over 95% of Albany's transactions stem from referrals and repeat business from former clients. Albany views herself as an advisor. As a result, her clients often note how much they appreciate her candid yet thoughtful advice.
Albany and her husband Earl met as undergrads at SMU. They married the summer before returning to SMU for their respective graduate degree programs and lived in campus apartments before making their way to East Dallas. They have called the Lower Greenville area home for almost a decade and love walking to local shops and restaurants.
Albany is an active member of Shoreline City Church where she and Earl have led couples connect groups and currently lead the hospitality team. When she's not spending time with close friends and family, traveling, or losing herself in a good book, Albany loves watching Korean dramas.
