Michael Crain

Michael Crain, Ft Worth Cultural District Realtor
  • c: (817) 677-8258

Michael D. Crain is a Fort Worth, Texas native and international business executive, widely known as former Chief of Staff to the U.S. Ambassador to China with extensive experience in foreign trade policies, regulations and corporate law for clients spanning from Beijing to Dallas. Today, he brings his proven track record for exceptional business practices and client service to luxury real estate, helping people seamlessly navigate the housing market with remarkable expertise.

A hard-working family man, devoted husband and father of two adopted twin girls, with a newborn on the way, Michael moved his family to the Metroplex after eight years in China to get back to his roots - a place he says has changed immensely. "The growth here is explosive, and it's a really exciting time for Fort Worth," says Michael. "We could have moved anywhere in the world, and we chose to move back here. It's a place where we can give our girls the same kind of upbringing we had, with great schools, morals and a real sense of community, and I'm honored to be able to help people find their home here."

Actively involved with a number of civic boards, Michael is a Tanglewood Elementary Dad who lives in the community, knows the neighborhoods, and is recognized among high-level political circles as a fierce negotiator who creates win-win situations to get deals done. It's in this same vein that Michael maximizes opportunities for his clients in luxury real estate, from representing homes of distinction and launching them like a product on the world stage, to expertly matching families with communities that not only suit their needs, but also their lifestyle.

Coupled with the marketing firepower and global reach of Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty, Michael works with the brand that brings the buyer to deliver extraordinary results by getting into the hearts and minds of his clientele. Family ties in real estate sparked his fascination for the business. "I've long been an admirer of architecture and design. Buying and selling a home is a personal experience, and I like to find a little humor in things and make the process fun. It takes time and energy, and I want people to be excited about what we are doing. Anything I can do to make the process more enjoyable or easier on the client, I do it," he explains.

Michael holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, a Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law and an MBA from Rutgers University. Aside from family, faith and business, Michael's greatest passion is giving back. "Doors have been opened for me at different times in my life, and I didn't get to where I am without someone taking a chance on me. My wife and I strive daily to do the same for others," he says. From spearheading charitable initiatives, to staying plugged into Fort Worth growth and public service, Michael is opening doors across the Metroplex - allow him to put his skills to work for you.
