Liz is a fifth generation Texan and a native Dallasite. After graduating from Highland Park High School, she received a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Texas in the Plan II Honors Program. Liz returned to Dallas to marry Bob Schoenvogel, currently a physician at Baylor Hospital. Liz's early years in Dallas were spent focused on family, church, and community. They raised three children in Park Cities, two of whom are now living in Devonshire and University Park. As a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Liz has been active in its inner city ministry, leading to a six year commitment to the "I Have a Dream Foundation." She developed her organizational skills through board positions on the PTAs of all of her children's schools for 16 years. Liz greatly enjoyed her placements in the community as well as serving on the Executive Committee. She co-chaired the Community Board Institute XIII and is a past president of the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Board. Liz's current memberships include Preservation Dallas, The Dallas Woman's Club, and The Dallas Garden Club.
Liz began her sales career in the clothing business as a Divisional Sales Manager and Consultant for The Worth Collection. After leading her division in agency sales throughout her 4 ½ years with Worth, Liz became a Regional Manager of four states for Tanner Companies. She is now delighted to have her professional life focused closer to home.
